Prior to sending the patient a Pearl Portal request/document, you must have the following details registered in Pearl: Surname, Date of Birth, Postcode and a valid Mobile Number.
If the patient cannot access the Portal please check the information inputted by the patient, matches the details you have on their patient record in Pearl. Any slight differences will prevent the patient from logging in and will need updating. Also check you have enough SMS credits to allow registration of the patient’s Portal login (Integration tab in Pearl -> SMS Credits).
If it’s their first time using the Portal, patients will need to input a one-time verification code sent to their registered mobile number. Once they have logged in, they may setup a password for future logins.
If the patient has forgotten their password, they can use the Send SMS button to login via the one time access code, then change their password in Account Settings.
If the patient requires a parent/ guardian to complete their Portal request, then their parent / guardian can access this on behalf of the patient, otherwise the patient can continue to the next screen.
Family members and a default recorded parent / guardian record will automatically be listed and they can add additional details manually. This will be recorded on any documents or changes made on the Correspondence Tab in Pearl.
The patient can update their personal details from the Portal. Whether it’s a change of address or to consent to receive SMS marketing messages, this will update the record in Pearl instantly.
The COVID-19 assessment questions are matched to what is currently asked in Pearl. Any answers that have been marked to trigger a warning will show on Pearl when loading that Patient record. When a COVID-19 assessment is complete, it is recorded in Pearl with the date and time.
A Patient can complete a Medical History check before every visit on the Portal. They may also leave any emergency contact details. This will then update when the medical history was last checked by the Patient in Pearl.
The PR form is a signable agreement to show if the patient is exempt from any charges or a reduced charge for their treatment. Please ensure supporting details are provided where necessary. Once the Patient is happy with the details they have provided, they can sign in the box at the bottom and confirm the signature.
This signed document can then be viewed from the Patients correspondence or Patient folder within Pearl. Patients may also view this document from their Portal login.
A Patients treatment plan can be sent to the Portal to sign, including any terms and conditions you may have on this document. Once the Patient is happy with the details they have provided, they can sign in the box at the bottom and confirm the signature.
This signed document can then be viewed from the Patients correspondence or Patient folder within Pearl. Patients may also view this document from their Portal login.
